Hello PilotsOnline Community,

I’m always looking for ways to improve our community and make it a more valuable resource for all pilots. One idea I’ve been considering is the implementation of bots to automate some useful tasks and keep our members informed. I’d love to hear your thoughts and suggestions on this!

Potential Bot Features:

  • FAA Changelog Updates: A bot that automatically searches for and posts updates on FAR changes from the official FAA changelog as soon as they’re detected.
  • Content Aggregation: Bots that gather and share relevant aviation news, articles, and resources from reputable sources.
  • Event Reminders: Automated reminders for upcoming aviation events, webinars, and important deadlines.
  • Discussion Starters: Bots that periodically post questions or topics to spark discussions and keep the community engaged.

Your Input Needed:

  • Interest Level: Would you find these features helpful? Are there specific types of automated updates or information you’d like to see?
  • Additional Ideas: Do you have other suggestions for bot functionalities that could benefit our community?
  • Concerns: Are there any concerns or potential downsides you foresee with the implementation of bots?

Your feedback is crucial in helping us decide the best path forward. Please share your thoughts, ideas, and any concerns you might have in the comments below. Together, we can enhance PilotsOnline.net and make it an even better resource for everyone.

Thank you for your input and for being a part of this community!

    Hey everyone,

I’ve just created a bot called wings that searches for FAA webinars and posts them to the Aviation Events Community. I’d love to hear your feedback and suggestions on how to improve it. Check it out and let me know what you think!
